Trinity Day of Wellness
Nourishment for the Body, Mind and Spirit.
Join us on Saturday, September 28th 10:00am - 1:00pm for the first annual Trinity Day of Wellness; Nourishment for the Body, Mind and Spirit. The Invite Welcome Connect team is excited to plan this special day for the congregation as well as the general public. Wear your comfortable yoga gear and get ready to open your mind to learn new techniques for creating a holistic approach to wellness. There will be two workshop blocks with two workshops to choose from:
10:15-11:15
Amanda Lachowicz, 500hr E-RYT & Sound Healer
Sound Healing for Relaxation
Through the healing vibrations of the sound bowls, chimes and other sacred instruments, you’ll experience a meditative journey that soothes the mind, body and spirit. This class will invite you to lie back, breathe deeply and let the healing sounds wash over you, releasing stress and tension and fostering a sense of profound tranquility and well-being. Perfect for anyone seeking a restful escape from the hustle of daily life, this session will leave you feeling rejuvenated and balanced.
Ariann Huether and Lawrell Arnold
The Still, Small Voice: Music & Meditation
In this session, we will delve into using music within meditation, both as a passive and active practice. We will explore listening to different types of sacred music as a means of maintaining focus during meditation; and we will examine the benefits of vocalizing mantras during practice, and the spiritual and physical benefits achieved.
11:25-12:25pm
Irene Ross, AADP (Diocesan Creation Care Team)
The Passion of Creation: Natural Healing for Mind, Body, Spirit
Wellness of the earth affects the wellbeing of our minds, bodies and spirits. When we’re out of balance we’re tired, moody, anxious, stressed, have ‘brain fog’–and probably overeat and/or neglect our nutrition. While the modern world is great it can also wreak havoc on all our body systems. We can learn a lot from creation–flora and fauna; the animal world; birds and bees and even insects. Here, you’ll learn some lessons from the natural world.
Mary Lou Minard, CYT
Join Mary Lou for a Joyful Gentle Yoga class including warm ups, formal yoga postures, pranayama (breathing practices), meditation and deep relaxation. Please bring your own yoga mat for this practice.
There will also be free blood pressure checks and healthy refreshments!
4th Saturday of the month.
Next Blessing Bags collection and distribution will be on
Saturday, September 21 at 11:00
Are you seeking a community to call home? A community that does not proclaim to have all the answers if you think a certain way? A community striving for justice for all people? A community that encourages you to be who you are, not who people expect you to be, A community that allows you to question the beliefs you grew up with, and allows you to come to a new understanding of who God is, who Christ is? A community that sends you out into the world, rejoicing and embracing the week ahead? If you are curious that such a place can exist in this modern world of anxiety and hatred, if you are curious to feel the love a community has to offer, in a place where art, music, and the sacred intersect, we invite you to come and see.
By the grace of God we take our gifts that we have received from God and use them to be a place where people encounter God’s redeeming love and find support to live a loving life.
Our mission is to:
Creating community
that seeks to live and serve more joyfully
through loving God and each other.
